Max Renn (played by James Woods) is always looking for new, more shocking and bizarre stuff to broadcast and one day he comes across so-called snuff tv called Videodrome. He starts taping it and becomes more and more addicted to the bizarre and violent things he sees on the tapes.

But videodrome is more than just a tv-show, it's uses tv to give the viewers brain damage and to alter their perceptions and Max gets caught in the middle of it.

David Cronenberg's Videodrome is a really cool and original 80's movie starring James Woods as a part owner of a tv station that broadcasts sexual and bizarre programs, and it's actually a pretty bizarre movie to start with.

It has a lot of great effects and is just very different from a lot of other stuff out there and that's the main reason for watching it, (except for that it's a very good flick itself of course).

This is sort of a cult movie and is quite well known, and if you haven't had a chance to see it, I would recommend that you do so if you would come across it. It's weird and draws you into it and asks a lot of questions.

James Woods is excellent as the somewhat sleazy Max Renn and even Deborah Harry has a part in the movie which is kinda cool. The movie is a bit strange compared to a lot of other ones and most of all very different and highly entertaining.

It's hard to explain everything and I think this is a movie that just needs to be seen. So I won't write any more except for that it's great and you should definitely give it a go.

Videodrome is really cool, stands out and is totally different from most other movies. Definitely worth watching.
