Horror Hottys - Patience Holmes
Patience Holmes

Patience Holmes

"I love to be frightened...it's sexy."

She’s hot. Red hot. And all natural. Patience Holmes is also all business, at least until she addresses a camera lens–and then she effortlessly slips into a couple of characters. This dichotomy includes a demure waif-next-door (think Dawn Wells) and an unbridled "wild child". Holmes is more actress than model; her facial resiliency and body language develop a flexibility that breeds more than a generic bombshell. There’s a palpable intelligence behind the eyes of both alter egos. And mischief. Striking poses with a pulp-ish hubris, her vulnerability evolves into empowerment and vice versa. A sure candidate to crack the Boys Club, her genre preferences also reflect a duality. The ravishing redhead tempers her affection for classics (DON’T LOOK NOW, CARRIE) with a passion for modern Grand Guignol. Circumventing stereotype, she doesn’t shield her eyes from on-screen carnage; she’s a slasher geek! Holmes’ activity includes modeling for a comic book tentatively titled Red Riding Hood (vignettes about an "tasty adventuress" who winds-up [literally] in the soup or in the oven). Award-winning illustrator/sculptor Daniel Horne has conceptualized a sci-fi heroine exclusively for the actress/model ("Patience is a beautiful, contemporary girl with a classically sleek and womanly figure," explains Horne. "I’m going to portray her as a renegade–specifically a light-saber wielding, Hutt-hunting debt collector. Patience is a turn-on because all she has to do is stand there, she doesn’t even have to try."). The "horror hotty" has been cast in Jerry Moore’s Giant Monster Movie Serial (Toho homage) and THE COLLECTOR, the latter directed by Charles Roggero. Fanboys fantasize about a gorgeous girl who rhapsodizes about zombies, Pinhead and whacked predators; well, gentlemen, here she is...and may the best man win!
