Favorite horror films: EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, SLEEPY HOLLOW, "all Chucky" movies, THE MESSENGERS, THE CRAFT, FINAL DESTINATION, MAY, FREDDY VS. JASON, CHERRY HILL, SMALL SOLDIERS.
Summary: "I like genre movies where the families try to improve their lives but they wind-up buying a house where things take a turn for the worst. I also love films about witchcraft as well as movies where inanimate objects come to life. And, yes, I do like splatter films though some of the violence is disturbing; one example is the "decapitation-by-train" scene in FINAL DESTINATION-it reminded me of a real life tragedy-and that eye-gouging scene in MAY, which is quite tough to look at."
Worst horror film: MORTUARY ("It sucked ass. I'm sure there's equally bad films to come but, to date, this is the worst.").
Best (female) performance in a horror film: "A tie between Angela Bettis in MAY and Fairuza Balk in THE CRAFT."
Best (male) performance in a horror film: "Johnny Depp in EDWARD SCISSORHANDS...and Depp in SLEEPY HOLLOW...ED WOOD...PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN...CHARLEY AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY...FINDING NEVERLAND...I love Depp's ability to play off-the-wall characters. I love this man!
Favorite bogeyman: Chucky.
Women's roles in horror films: "I think they may be getting better if MAY is any indication."
Favorite (movie) superhero: "Batman. I like the darkness, the costume and, of course, the Batmobile. The Dark Knight clings closer to reality than the heroes who fly and spin webs."
Recent work: "I play a supporting role in a film titled THE COLLECTOR. It's a tragicomedy about a man who's obsessed with horror props and memorabilia. But he meets his 'fantasy girl' and screws up his life even worse. It's directed by Emmy award-winner Charles Roggero. George Stover plays the title role. George, a veteran of John Waters movies, was probably cast because he's a familiar face in horror movies (DRACULA'S WIDOW, ATTACK OF THE 60 FOOT CENTERFOLDS, THE DEATH OF POE, et al)."
"I was even more thrilled to pose for classic illustrator/sculptor, Daniel Horne. I posed as a witch, an elfin girl kissing a snowman, a belly dancer and a vampire-mermaid. It was cake work because I could actually relate to the characters. Dan is friggin' awesome. He's the absolute shit. His work is wonderful-like I said, he is the shit. He's a sort of 'father figure' role model who knows how to bring the kid out of me."
