New Disturbia clip
If you head on over to ComingSoon.net you can have a first look at the new clip from DISTURBIA which will hit theaters on April 13.

"In the D.J. Caruso thriller, Shia LaBeouf plays Kale, who after his father's death becomes sullen, withdrawn, and troubled - so much so that he finds himself under a court-ordered sentence of house arrest. His mother, Julie (Carrie-Anne Moss), works night and day to support herself and her son, only to be met with indifference and lethargy.

The walls of his house begin to close in on Kale. He becomes a voyeur as his interests turn outside the windows of his suburban home towards those of his neighbors, one of which Kale begins to suspect is a serial killer. But, are his suspicions merely the product of cabin fever and his overactive imagination?"

Exclusive: First Look At Carver!
CarverProducer Eric Williford from Two For Flinching Pictures was kind enough to send us the press release along with 6 new stills and the 1st poster for the upcoming film CARVER which I'm sure will be one helluva horror flick-- the reason for that is that these guys where the same ones who gave us THE 8TH PLAGUE (review) which was one awesome film indeed.

Fairfax, VA (March 30, 2007) - Anticipation is building as Two for Flinching prepares to release its second horror film in as many years.
Based on a true story, Carver depicts the real life events of five 20-something's that went camping in the mountain town of Halcyon Ridge and never returned.

"I wanted to do something a little more fun in nature. It's not fun as in "horror-comedy". It's pretty dark however it's got a darkly humorous edge to it and we are all pretty excited about the film." said Franklin Guerrero Jr. who wrote and directed Carver.

Krystyn Green, one of the stars in the film which was shot in Virginia said of Carver, "I am so proud of this film, it is a great story and I just know it will be well-received by the fans."

Guerrero and Eric Williford are both principals at Two for Flinching Pictures, whose previous film "The 8th Plague" was honored with Best Picture honors at the Freak Show Horror Film Festival and for Best Cinematography at the Chicago Horror Film Festival.

CARVER stars (click on the names to view the profile on IMDB) Matt Carmody, Neil Kubath, Kristyn Green, Jonathan Rockett, Ursula Taherian, Luke Vitale, David G. Holland, Erik Fones, Natasha Malinsky. Written and directed by Franklin Guerrero Jr., Special Makeup EFX by Paul Goldblatt and produced by Eric Williford, Richard Finney, John Thompson.

Evil Dread did an interview with Franklin Guerrero Jr. and Eric Williford about THE 8TH PLAGUE a while back that you can check out here and we'll of course do another interview with them regarding CARVER so keep your eyes peeled open on the site for that to come. You can visit Two For Flinching Pictures here and do not forget to check out the official CARVER site here!

Word on the street: Stupid Teenagers Must Die!
Stupid Teenagers Must Die!Debuting director Jeff C. Smith dropped Fango a line and some pics from his upcoming indie horror comedy with the brilliant name STUPID TEENAGERS MUST DIE! (that sure beats Surf Nazis Must Die!).. Smith told the trade, “With STUPID TEENAGERS MUST DIE!, we attempted to make a movie with the fun and energy of the horror films of the ’80s. The trend in horror films today seems to be torture and discomfort. Our goal was to go more retro and make a movie that has audiences yelling at the characters on the screen, laughing one minute and screaming the next, and do it all very tongue-in-cheek. “We give you the ‘greatest hits’ of ’80s horror clichés, including the one-dimensional characters, excessive violence, gratuitous nudity and complete lack of budget. Movie snobs would look at these facets as unforgivable flaws in a film. We proudly announce these qualities on our poster!”

Fango further reports that the film follows a group of kids who make the time-honored dumb decision to hold a séance in a haunted house. The characters include the expected cool hero, the gorgeous heroine, the shy guy in love with the gorgeous heroine, the Goth chick, a pair each of lesbians and geeks and others.

The pic is currently seeking distribution and for more info you can check out the official site here and its MySpace Page . Check out lots more pics !
