San Diego, California (August 30, 2007) - Steel Web Studios is pleased to announce that pre-production has begun on "Bed Bugs from Hell", a feature-length horror film that will combine hardcore sex scenes, live insects and splatterpunk gore.
The tale of "Bed Bugs from Hell" unfolds as a mattress full of bed bugs is exposed to mutating radiation from a mysterious source. The irradiated insects soon infest a sleazy motel and eventually venture to the neighboring town to wreak havoc.
The film is inspired by the b-movie creature features of the 50's. The title was originally conceived as a fictitious movie for a scene in Steel Web Studios' short film "Mail Order Bride". Soon after the release of the film, fans began to request that the concept actually be made into a movie. Fans visiting the Steel Web Studios booth at the Comic-Con in San Diego were treated to a sneak preview of concept art for the film.
"Bed Bugs from Hell" will be written and directed by David Quitmeyer, the creator of the notorious erotic horror film "Slaughter Disc". The film will be made available in both an "R" rated version and a limited edition XXX Director's Cut.
Curious individuals may visit the film's official website.

Just got word that the official site for MTD Studios Florida's new horror feature film, BLOODY 27 has gone live so you should of course check this monster out... to be found right here! Below is a synopsis for BLOODY 27.
"On a desolate stretch of old highway lies the terror of Bloody 27. For years, people have disappeared along a stretch of old citrus farms and sugar factories. Few people know the truth and they will guard the secret with their lives. Things quickly deteriorate when a young college student named Jenny (Annalisa Kyler) has car trouble just outside of an old town. When she disappears, her closest friends quickly form a search party to track her down. Leading the pack is heroic Doug (Martin Seijo), whose is bouncing back from a failed career in professional baseball. His best friend Bruce (Michael Thomas Dunn) is dragged along to help the search (although Bruce makes it clear how much he didn't want to come through endless bitching). Also helping the search is Vanessa. She is a smart tomboy who is Jenny's best friend. Vanessa is another reason why Bruce is miserable, he can't stand her."
BLOODY 27 stars Annalisa Kyler, Martin Seijo, Allan Medina and Jamie Belanger. It will be written and directed by independent filmmaker Michael Thomas Dunn. Planned for a limited theatrical release in late 2008.

The Flaming Dames, Chicago’s premiere concept burlesque show, return for their second show of the season (and 6th of the franchise). They’re gritty. They’re sexy. And they’re taking on the king of low budget B-Horror, the grindhouse movie. The Flaming Dames in Bump & Grindhouse is the Dames’ “hats off” to the grindhouse genre, resurrected by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez in their double feature, “Grindhouse.” But make no mistake, this isn’t a parody of their work, but an homage to an entire genre of B-horror and suspense films we know as grindhouse!
“We’ve got something from each category of grindhouse movie; everything from go-go strippers to German drill sergeants to vampire vixens and hot zombie chicks,” says Leslie Kerrigan, creator and director of The Flaming Dames franchise.

HORROR FILM HOTTIE CHRISTA CAMPBELL TAKES IT ALL OFF FOR PLAYBOY'S SEPTEMBER ISSUE!
Curvy scream queen Christa Campbell bares all in a pulse-quickening, six-page nude pictorial in Playboy's September issue (on newsstands and at playboydigital.com Friday, August 10).
The horror-flick vixen has appeared in The Wicker Man, 2001 Maniacs, Hallows Point and The Drone Virus, and stars in a slew of upcoming slasher pics including the remake of George Romero's zombie classic Day of the Dead.
"Horror films are so fun," Christa says. "You don't realize how large a following they have until you go to a Fangoria convention."
When not playing a lurching flesh-eater or practicing her scream technique, the 33-year-old northern California native is a quiet beauty and describes herself as shy. "I'm very, very single," she says. "I'm hoping to get some dates when this issue of Playboy appears!"

Ningen Manga Productions premiered the teaser trailer for it's upcoming feature-length horror film, WOMEN'S STUDIES, at this past weekend's Horrorfind Weekend 8 held in Baltimore, Maryland.
The 52 second teaser features a menagerie of images intended to introduce audiences to the main characters and concept of WOMEN'S STUDIES.
"Above all other story elements, WOMEN'S STUDIES is a character piece," explains writer/director Lonnie Martin. "The trailer reflects that, showing the major players of the film in some pretty defining shots. At the same time, I wanted the clip to be a 'teaser' in the truest sense of the word and not give away too many details of the plot."
Scheduled for a 2008 release, WOMEN'S STUDIES follows a grad student who along with her friends becomes a visitor at a women's academy where female empowerment is taken to murderous extremes.
The teaser is available online and can be viewed both at the official site here and on .
