It´s time to let the right one in
UHM is reporting some pretty darn excellent news regarding a flick called LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, (LÅT DEN RÄTTE KOMMA IN); a Swedish vampire film from director Tomas Alfredson. Thing is that I read the book, by author Johan Ajvide Lindqvist, quite long ago and it's such an amazing book I've just been waiting around for someone to turn all this awesomeness into a movie. There's a trailer up for the LET THE RIGHT ONE IN that you can check out here, and the plot for it goes a little something like this: "Terrorized by bullies, lonely 12-year-old Oskar befriends a new neighbor, a mysterious young girl whose arrival coincides with a series of gruesome deaths and attacks. Though Oskar realizes that she's a vampire, his friendship with her is stronger than his fear." Head on over to UHM to watch the trailer right now, (it's located to your left.)

Superbeasto time
You may have heard something, from time to time, about Rob Zombie making a film called EL SUPERBEASTO. Well now the film maker says, over at the official that the tour is over and it's all Superbeasto time. Zombie says, "Starting on Monday I am back and ready to kick ass on Beasto. Stay tuned this thing is coming your way soon.! Finally!" Looking at the concept art it sure looks like Beasto is gonna be one helluva film, and another thing the film has going for it is that the director hasn't disappointed when it comes to film-making so far, at least not in my opinion. More when it happens.

Oink, Oink - Pig Hunt trailer
If you head on over to Fango, here, you can watch a really weird and crazy trailer for a film called PIG HUNT. Now, this film seems a whole lot crazy but the trailer sure made me want to see the whole movie. Well, judge for yourself. Directed by James Isaac, who recently delivered SKINWALKERS, the plot of PIG HUNT is about: "When John takes his San Francisco friends to his deceased uncle's remote ranch to hunt wild pigs, it seems like a typical guys weekend with guns - despite the presence of John's sexy girlfriend Brooks. But as John and his crew trek deeper into the forest, they begin tracking the awful truth about his uncle's demise and the legend of The Ripper -- a murderous three-thousand-pound black boar! Their pursuit leads them through fields of marijuana and into the muddy landscape of Big Wallow, involving high-powered weaponry, the violent and unpredictable Tibbs Brothers, massacred emus, a machete-toting Hippie Stranger, vengeful rednecks, and throat-slitting Cult Girls who grow dope by day and worship a Giant Killer Pig by night." Go watch the trailer right here, and check out the official PIG HUNT website here.

Mutant women, bizarre fetish gear - this is Tokyo Gore Police
First-time director Yoshihiro Nishimura is currently busy shooting his TOKYO GORE POLICE, a 15-day shot taking place in the Japanese capital. Fever Dreams are behind the film, a company that have earlier released films such as DEATH TRANCE and MACHINE GIRL. You can find their official site here. Director Nishimura comes from working with special makeup and has worked on such films as MEATBALL MACHINE, and on the upcoming Hideo Nakata film L: CHANGE THE WORLD.
TOKYO GORE POLICE tells the story about Ruka, a police officer in a special squad formed to eradicate human mutations that have recently sprung into existence, the result of a virus created by a mad scientist simply known as Key Man. Killing these unwieldy mutants is no easy task, and Ruka, naturally enough, carries a samurai sword with her at all times. Despite being on opposite sides of the fence, Ruka and Key Man share a common bond: the murder of their fathers years earlier at the hands of the police, and both she and Key Man seek revenge for their dads’ untimely demise.
The character of Ruka is played by Eihi Shiina, known for her role as Asami in Miike's AUDITION. The fight scenes in the film will be choreographed by Tak Sakaguchi, who has earlier worked on Ryuhei Kitamura's AZUMI and GODZILLA: FINAL WARS. The film will wrap up this month and the trailer for it will be shown at Yubari Fantastic Film Festival in March. More when it happens.
