Are you a fan of the Dead?
French filmmaker Nicolas Garreau got in touch and told us that his documentary, FAN OF THE DEAD, has recently been distributed on DVD. In the documentary, Garreau has travelled around to visit all the filming locations of George A. Romero's NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, DAWN OF THE DEAD, and DAY OF THE DEAD. Trailer for Argentinian horror BREAKING NIKKI
A trailer for Argentinian director Hernan Findling's BREAKING NIKKI has hit the net and you can watch the whole thing over at the official site here! The story of the flick goes like this: "A call girl is hired to dress up like and answer to the name of a client’s ex-girlfriend. However, a sick sort of revenge is on the client’s mind as the call girl soon finds herself trapped in a scenario about to spiral bloodily out of control." BREAKING NIKKI stars Mariana Seligmann, Victoria Maurette and Oliver Kolker, and was written by helmer Findling along with German Val and Nicanor Loreti.

IMP Awards scooped up the latest and fifth poster for PATHOLOGY which you can take a look at below. Helmed by Marc Schoelermann and written by CRANK scripters Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor - PATHOLOGY tells the story about Harvard Medical School graduate Dr. Ted Grey arrives at one of the nations most prestigious Pathology programs and is quickly noticed by the program's privileged and elite band of pathology interns who invite him into their crowd. It is also here, where he is introduced to Dr. Jake Gallo, who brings him to a secluded wing, where he and four other indulge in there after-hours, extra-curricular activities... finding ways to commit the perfect murder! Flick stars Milo Ventimiglia, Michael Weston, Alyssa Milano, Lauren Lee Smith, and Johnny Whitworth.

ILLUSION TELEVISION launches the first true horror mobile video network
Cable VOD channel Illusion on Demand, known for their science fiction offering, is following their recent surge of expansion to operators like Charter Communications with another ground-breaking announcement. Beginning in mid-June Illusion will be launching "Fright Mobile", the first true mobile horror channel. As part of this same announcement Illusion is releasing original mobile exclusive series, adding to a horror library of commentary shows, short films and classic clips. All of Illusion's original mobile series are unique in that they are made to take advantage of the medium in ways that have not been seen before. International "Shiver" Poster
Dark Sky Films acquired the rights to the Spanish horror flick SHIVER that they plan to release later this year, and B-D scooped up the international poster for the flick, as seen below. Flick is about a lonely adolescent who moves with his mother to an isolated village. There, a series of odd events shock the community.

Dafoe joins CIRQUE DU FREAK
IGN is reporting that Willem Dafoe has joined John C. Reilly, Josh Hutcherson, Chris Kelly, Salma Hayek and Ken Watanabe in CIRQUE DU FREAK. Flick's about a vampire (Reilly) who drafts a 14-year old to serve as his assistant. The youth is turned into a half-vampire and becomes the catalyst in a battle between vampires and the rival Vampanese. Universal Pictures bought the rights to a series of 12 books in 2005 and if the film goes well, CIRQUE DU FREAK will be long franchise.

NY Times scooped up a bunch of hi-res photos from THE ROAD which you can check out right here. The flick is tells the story of a man who embarks on a nightmarish road trip after a nuclear explosion in an attempt to transport his son to safety while fending off cannibals. It stars Viggo Mortensen and is lsated to be released on November 26.

"THE DEAD MATTER" UPDATE
The first THE DEAD MATTER trailer coming July. Director and cast to appear at Comic-Con. Midnight Syndicate's THE DEAD MATTER CD coming August. Picture locked.

Plans are being made to debut the first trailer to THE DEAD MATTER at the San Diego Comic-Con July 23-27 at the MIDNIGHT SYNDICATE SOUNDTRACKS booth. Also appearing at the booth (soon to be confirmed) are director Edward Douglas and cast members Sean Serino, Christopher Robichaud, Tom Nagel, CB Spencer, and Brian Van Camp.

THE DEAD MATTER achieved picture lock this past week. "The test screenings went extremely well, said Edward Douglas, "there's a tremendous amount of excitement building around here as we head into this next stage."

In addition to the Visual FX work being done by Robert Kurtzman and Precinct 13 Entertainment, work on Midnight Syndicate's THE DEAD MATTER CD and the score is also underway. THE DEAD MATTER CD is a disc of music inspired by the film as well as some music from the actual film that will be released in August of this year. "Just in time for Halloween," said Midnight Syndicate's Gavin Goszka. "We're really happy with how the disc is coming together. It will definitely give people a taste of what is to come."
