2nd trailer for REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA
If you head on over here you can watch the second trailer for Darren Lynn Bousman's horror musical REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA, which will play at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal, Canada, next month. Below is the full REPO! synopsis:

"An epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Panic erupts and scientists feverishly make plans for a massive organ harvest. Out of the tragedy, GeneCo, a multi-billion dollar biotech company, emerges. GeneCo provides organ transplantation for a profit. In addition to financing options, GeneCo reserves the right to implement default remedies, including repossession. For those who can't keep up with their organ payments, collection is the responsibility of "organ repo men", skilled assassins contracted by GeneCo, ordered to recover GeneCo's property by any means necessary.

At the heart of the story is Shilo Wallace (Alexa Vega), a 17 year-old girl with a rare blood disease. She has been kept locked up and protected in her house, where she is guarded from the outside world by her father, Nathan Wallace (Anthony Head). While Shilo struggles with her wish to leave the house and experience the outside world, Nathan struggles with his job as the repo man, and more specifically, his next target, a woman named Blind Mag (Sarah Brightman). Blind Mag was a friend of Nathan's now-deceased wife, and is Shilo's godmother.

The Largo family, consisting of GeneCo president Rotti (Paul Sorvino), his daughter Amber (Paris Hilton), and his two sons Luigi and Pavi (Bill Moseley and Nivek Ogre, respectively), have their own plans. Rotti is dying, and the three siblings bicker and fight about who is to take the role as head of GeneCo.

The stories intertwine and merge at the GeneCo opera."

INDIE FILMMAKERS & HORROR ACTORS JOIN FOR RELIEF
The Indy Film Co-Op, a group of filmmakers, actors, and writers from around the world, want to help change some lives for those affected by the recent storms and flooding that have caused devastation throughout the middle United States.

Although the Co-Op membership is made up of industry professionals across the globe, such as Tom Savini, Jim Wynorski, Lloyd Kaufman, Jim O'Rear, Tom Holland, and Andrew Stevens, it is headquartered in Franklin, Indiana... one of the towns destroyed by flooding.

"It's like a horror movie, up here," states Bill Dever, head of the Co-Op. "Bodies and coffins floating out of graves, cars turned over, homes destroyed. People's lives have been ruined."

Bill Dever and Co-Op member Lee Vervoort (actor in THE DEEPENING and SCREAM FARM) decided it was time to take action and called on the members of the Co-Op for help. Their idea: hold an auction to help raise money to assist those homeless and in need in Indiana.

Support has come from all areas of the horror/sci-fi genre, with the Co-Op receiving donations of autographed movie props, memorabilia, costumes, 8X10s, DVD collections, and more from such noted genre organizations and celebs as Gunnar Hansen, Michael Berryman, Matthew "Feedback" Atherton, Monique Dupree, Midnight Syndicate, The Sacramento Horror Film Festival, Jim O'Rear, Tom Savini, Jim Wynorski, Tom Holland, Lloyd Kaufman and many more.

The Co-Op is still accepting donations for the upcoming auction. Anyone wanting to get involved can send items to:
Indy Film Co-Op
99 East Monroe Street
Franklin, IN 46131

More information about the Indy Film Co-Op, its upcoming auction, and its annual film festival (The B-Movie Celebration) can be found at indyfilmco-op.org, and bmoviecelebration.com.

Cage & Brosnan join Polanski
MTV is reporting that Nicolas Cage and Pierce Brosnan are to join Roman Polanski's big screen adaptation, based on Robert Harris' novel The Ghost. Brosnan will play a Tony Blair-like former British prime minister who hires an unnamed (Cage) ghost writer (yes, writer not rider) to help pen his memoirs. Suspense ensues when the writer begins to realize what his now deceased predecessor may have uncovered about the ex-PM. Polanski co-wrote the screenplay with Harris and lensing will start in Europe (no word of in what country) later this year.

full-length Mummy 3 trailer
IGN scored the first full-length trailer for THE MUMMY 3: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR which you can take a look at here! Below you find the full synopsis:

"The blockbuster global "Mummy" franchise takes a spellbinding turn as the action shifts to Asia for the next chapter in the adventure series, THE MUMMY 3: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR. Brendan Fraser returns as explorer Rick O'Connell to combat the resurrected Han Emperor (Jet Li) in an epic that races from the catacombs of ancient China high into the frigid Himalayas. Rick is joined in this all-new adventure by son Alex (newcomer Luke Ford), wife Evelyn (Maria Bello) and her brother, Jonathan (John Hannah). And this time, the O'Connells must stop a mummy awoken from a 2,000-year-old curse who threatens to plunge the world into his merciless, unending service.

Doomed by a double-crossing sorceress (Michelle Yeoh) to spend eternity in suspended animation, China's ruthless Dragon Emperor and his 10,000 warriors have laid forgotten for eons, entombed in clay as a vast, silent terra cotta army. But when dashing adventurer Alex O'Connell is tricked into awakening the ruler from eternal slumber, the reckless young archaeologist must seek the help of the only people who know more than he does about taking down the undead: his parents.

As the monarch roars back to life, our heroes find his quest for world domination has only intensified over the millennia. Striding the Far East with unimaginable supernatural powers, the Emperor Mummy will rouse his legion as an unstoppable, otherworldly force...unless the O'Connells can stop him first."

Amateur Porn Star Killer going 3D?
AMATEUR PORN STAR KILLER 3 is going 3D?!? Sort of. Director Shane Ryan is making AMATEUR PORN STAR KILLER 3 to conclude his trilogy of the seriously dark faux snuff film series, and then AMATEUR PORN STAR KILLER 3D which will be a parody of the series.

"I was asked to do APSK3 in 3D which I thought was a terrible idea given how dark and handheld the style of the films are, it would for sure make you vomit if you haven't already with 3D added," says Ryan. "Not to mention it would kill the seriousness of it. 3D movies are usually campy horror, hokey porn, kids movies, or Sci-Fi/Action. I thought the only way to do this in 3D would be to make it a campy horror porn film. But I didn’t want the trilogy to end that way so we agreed on doing my serious Part 3 version as well as a campy 3D movie."

Both films will be released as a double feature DVD just after Halloween of this year, with the 3D version also available in a 2D version, for a total of 3 versions for AMATEUR PORN STAR KILLER 3. Given the 2nd was in 2 versions and the first film in one version it plays out perfect that way. Expect a theatrical run for the 3D version before the release. And for girls who love getting naked on camera, there’s about 2 weeks left to get in on the film if you live in the Southern CA area, as well as for people who want a credit in the film. Check out all the info on the official page here. A few indie celebs have already been cast in the 3D version, names to be revealed soon.

theatrical Bruce
Wonder what ever happened to the Bruce Campbell directed MY NAME IS BRUCE? Well, STYD ran into Dark Horse Comics' Mike Richardon who said: "Some people maybe thought the film fell out or that there was something wrong with it... We did our shoot, put it in the can and the studio that financed it liked it so much they gave us more money to do a second shoot. We beefed it up so it could go into the theaters." So this will not be a straight-to-DVD and it will hit theatrically this October! The plot revolves around Bruce Campbell, who is playing himself throughout the piece being mistaken by fans for Ashley J. Williams. Due to this mistake he is dragged from his trailer park home to battle the avatar of the Chinese war diety Guan Di. Also, a sequel is planned which goes under the clever title MY NAME IS STILL BRUCE.
