Full Trailer for Women´s Studies
After premiering at Horrorfind Weekend on March 29, the full length trailer for Ningen Manga Productions' upcoming horror/thriller WOMEN'S STUDIES has now hit the net and you can watch it below. The one minute, fifty-three second trailer gives audiences their best look yet at the highly anticipated horror film which tells the story of a pregnant grad student and her friends who become embroiled in the affairs of a women's academy where female empowerment is taken to murderous extremes.

The trailer for WOMEN'S STUDIES premiered to an enthusiastic audience during a panel this past Saturday at Horrorfind. The panel featured not only the new trailer but also the first eight minutes of the movie as well as a Q&A with cast members, Judith O'Dea (NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD), Tara Garwood, and Cindy Marie Martin who also co-produced the film. Additional panel members were writer/director Lonnie Martin and cinematographer Aaron Shirley. The panel was moderated by Pretty Scary's Jen Tonon. Check out the full trailer below.

Machete: From trailer to trilogy?
B-D spoke to Danny Trejo regarding the the possibilities of the GRINDHOUSE trailer MACHETE will turn into a real flick, and Trejo said, "Robert Rodriguez is still working on getting MACHETE off the ground and hopes the director will be ready when he finishes another project he is currently working on. He also confirms that Rodriguez will in fact direct the film, and not just produce it. In addition, Trejo breaks the news that Dimension Films is looking to turn MACHETE into a trilogy!" Cool huh? More when it happens.

TEMPE BRANCHES INTO SOUNDTRACK MUSIC!
THE DEAD NEXT DOOR Original Motion Picture SoundtrackTempe Entertainment today announced a new line of soundtrack music releases to be issued as limited-edition CDs as well as downloadable MP3 or AAC files available in the biggest e-stores worldwide. The debut title is none other than THE DEAD NEXT DOOR Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, containing the complete score for writer/director J.R. Bookwalter's 1990 cult classic, available for the first time ever.

"These releases are more for fun than anything else," explains Bookwalter, who wrote and performed his own DEAD NEXT DOOR score 19 years ago. "I had dabbled with some homegrown CD soundtracks over the years which would get sold on our website or at conventions, and folks usually got a kick out of them. With the music industry having moved so much into downloads, it seemed like the right time to dig out these old scores, clean 'em up and have some fun with them."

Using the TempeSound imprint, Bookwalter will issue limited edition copies of the soundtracks on CD, at first available exclusively at the Tempe website as well as his "preferred" e-tailers, Amazon.com and DeepDiscount.com. By the end of May, THE DEAD NEXT DOOR will also be available via download at iTunes stores worldwide, Amazon MP3, eMusic, Napster, Rhapsody, GroupieTunes and LaLa.

"Strictly for fans of bad synth music!" laughs Bookwalter when modestly describing his own work. "Those were good times, but there's a valid reason I hung up my keyboards after scoring only 4 features... John Williams they ain't!"

TempeSound plans to follow THE DEAD NEXT DOOR with ROBOT NINJA and SKINNED ALIVE (also scored by Bookwalter), previously available only as homegrown cassette versions, followed by official editions of Matthew Jason Walsh's scores to THE SANDMAN, POLYMORPH and BLOODLETTING, using the remastered versions of the scores he created for the Special Edition DVD releases. Other discs may follow in the future.

Regarding THE DEAD NEXT DOOR, Tempe launches the complete score to its 1990 cult classic THE DEAD NEXT DOOR, restored from the original source material and available for the first time ever! Writer/director J.R. Bookwalter took a cue from influences such as John Carpenter in composing & performing the music for his debut horror feature and the result is an appropriately creepy electronic score to accompany the onscreen terror. Retail price is $14.99 and for more info, check out Tempe Video right here.

QUARANTINE site launches
A brand new site for the REC remake called QUARANTINE just went live and can be found right about here. Not too much to find there as for the time being thought but you can register for updates and what not. The film opens in theaters on October 17 and hopefully we'll see a helluva lot more content on the site shortly, because as for now, there's just not too much going on.
