Dead by Dawn Animatic
Filmmaker Rich Robinson sent over a link to a new teaser for his animatic called DEAD BY DAWN. The animatic has a great feel to it and you need to check it out right here! The Log Line for DEAD BY DAWN goes something like this: "When murder befalls the small New England town of Juniper Falls, the citizens take justice into their own hands only to upset a malevolent force thirsty for blood and retribution." Satanic Panic Trailer
Just got word from Claudia over at Marc Selz Productions, LLC, that Fango scooped up an exclusive trailer for SATANIC PANIC that you can take a look at right here. SATANIC PANIC is a fictional story based on witness accounts that were inspired by the hysteria of satanic ritual abuse which took place during the late '70s and '80s. Long gets dragged to hell
Variety is reporting that Justin Long (JEEPERS CREEPERS) has signed on to star in Sam Raimi's upcoming film DRAG ME TO HELL. Long will star opposite Alison Lohman and will play her boyfriend. Penned by Sam and Ivan Raimi, lensing is reportedly set to start on March 31 in Los Angeles.

Charlize Theron to become Lady Vengeance
The Boston Globe did an interview with Charlize Theron in which she mentioned that "plans to produce and star in a remake of Korean director Park Chan-Wook's SYMPATHY FOR LADY VENGEANCE." Flick revolves around a beautiful woman wrongly imprisoned for the murder of a child and her subsequent complex plans for retribution. For the full interview, head on over here!

Zompire: The Undead Film Festival calls last call for submissions
Zompire: The Undead Film Festival, founded in 2005, is experiencing rapid growth with a very entusiastic fanbase focussing on two of the most popular sub-genres of horror. The festival is dedicated to all things undead – from Zombies to Vampires. The people representing the Festival want to highlight various filmmakers creative attempts to show the undead in new and unexpected ways.
Zompire is swiftly approaching. The final DEADline for submissions is April 10th. If you have a short or feature length Zombie or Vampire (or other undead denizen) film you would like the hordes (I mean fans) to see please submit as soon as possible. Everything you need is right here!

300 sequel?
A rumor has started to spread regarding a sequel to Zack Snyder and Frank Miller's 300. "Producer Mark Canton seemed to imply that all they were waiting for was the thumbs up from Warner Bros," says the site Film School Rejects. Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. And the next remake is...
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the next film to be remade John De Bello's ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES! from 1978. Christ, they're really running out of ideas aren't they? Set to write the script for this monstrosity are two guys, Kent Nichols and Douglas Sarine, from behind the web series ask a ninja. The flick will also be directed by Nichols who said: ""Attack of the Killer Tomatoes! is the masterwork of a generation. We can only aspire to recapture that magic."

Rusty´s back!
Dread Central scored the first one-sheet for JOY RIDE 2: DEAD AHEAD that was unveiled at this past weekend's FEAR FEST 2. Directed by Louis Morneau, the flick star Nick Zano, Mark Gibbon, Nicki Aycox, Kyle Schmid, Laura Jordan, and Aisling Walsh. The film will hit DVD in October, and for a look at the full poster, hit the pic below the synopsis:
"While driving across the country on their way to Las Vegas, two couples are forced to "borrow" a car from an apparently abandoned ranch house when their own vehicle breaks down in rural Utah. Little do they know that the car they took actually belonged to Rusty Nail, the cold, calculating killer who plays vicious and cruel games with his victims, often pursuing them in his ominous, black 18-wheeler truck. After one of their friends is kidnapped by the murderous trucker, the remaining travelers are forced into Rusty's violent realm to play his sinister cat-and-mouse games in an attempt to rescue their friend and stop the killer before it is too late."

If you head on over to omghorror.com, you can see that they've listed "The 26 Greatest Zombies of All Time", from 26th place to 1st place depending on how great each zombie is. It's a cool list, even though you may not totally agree with their choices, and the list varies with everything zombie from movies to video games. Do check it out.

New Ruins Poster
Above is the new poster for THE RUINS, Carter Smith's flick based on a novel by Scott B. Smith. Flick's about a group of friends whose leisurely Mexican holiday takes a turn for the worse when they, along with a fellow tourist embark on a remote archaeological dig in the jungle, where something evil lives among the ruins. Yikes! RUINS stars Jonathan Tucker, Jena Malone, Shawn Ashmore and Laura Ramsey, and will be released on April 4. Below is a trailer for THE RUINS, enjoy!
