Behind the scenes shots from Tokyo Gore Police
We reported earlier regarding a bizarre upcoming film called TOKYO GORE POLICE and now Twitch has scored a whole bunch of cool behind the scenes shots from the film that you can take a look at here. The Yoshihiro Nishimura directed flick tell the story of a cop (AUDITION's Eihi Shiina) in a near future world where a man made virus has spawned swarms of hideous mutants that must be battled off if humanity is to survive. Penned by the writer of UZUMAKI with Tak Sakaguchi from Versus handling the action sequences, TOKYO GORE POLICE seems like one helluva film to look forward to.

FINAL DESTINATION 4 opening
B-D is reporting that FINAL DESTINATION 4 producer Craig Perry confirms what will be the opening scene in the film and says that "it'll be during a high-speed race car crash where an object will fly into the stands killing (or just missing) some of the audience members!" The sequel from New Line Cinema will be shot entirely in high-def 3-D and will use the same technology as James Cameron is using for AVATAR. Perry also says that they'll be careful about how they'll use 3D in the movie and says: "Having something pop out at the audience every four minutes gets boring." More when it happens.

DEMO VERSION OF THE DEATH WALKS THE STREETS MAIN TITLE THEME ONLINE
February 2008 Officially signals the 3-year mark in the long development process of bringing DEATH WALKS THE STREETS to life. The DWTS team entered 2008 a truly independent project once more, with both the film and comic back in the hands of it's creators - and on track to becoming a reality.
Composer John Roome aka Witchman (28 WEEKS LATER, LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD) recently turned in over a dozen demos for the eventual DWTS Original Score. While they could've just kept these to themselves, John agreed to share the demo version of the DEATH WALKS THE STREETS "MAIN TITLE THEME" with the world. The track is available for streaming on the new myspace page for the upcoming DWTS soundtrack, .
Bending genres like the story itself, the theme builds as it weaves the horror and crime elements, while eluding to other thematic influences contained within the DWTS World.

EXTREME SCREAM postponed at the last minute for excessive BLOOD, MURDERS and SEX APPEAL!
ON-Q Productions announced that the premiere episode of EXTREME SCREAM has been unavoidably delayed, and will not debut on Friday , February 1st on Superstation WGN as originally planned.
"We are continuing to work with the Programming Department at WGN to produce a horror-based show that is true to the genre, yet still appropriate for the viewing audience" said Leon Quenneville, owner of ON-Q and host of EXTREME SCREAM. "Our editors have done their best to show just enough of the monsters, killers, blood, violence and nudity to entertain the audience while remaining within the FCC and network guidelines. But you can only edit so much, and then you lose the appeal of the whole horror-movie magic" he said.
WGN has remained steadfast in what they call "acceptable" for their viewing audience, citing the latest version of the show still contains too much blood, too many graphic murders, and too much sex appeal.
Darrin Ramage is the President of Brain Damage Films, the primary sponsor of the EXTREME SCREAM TV show. "I can understand the need to keep the sex and violence to an acceptable level for network television," he said, "but my number one priority is the loyalty and respect from the GOREHOUNDS. If I continue to edit and censor the creative work of these talented independent film producers, then I’ve done a disservice not only to the artist but to the fans as well. Above all else, we have to remain true to the fans!"
ON-Q Productions and Brain Damage Films will continue to work with WGN in the hopes that some middle ground can be reached. "There has to be a happy-medium where the horror fans don’t feel cheated out of a good scare, but the network is comfortable with the program as well" said Quenneville. Stay tuned for an updated premiere episode date.
