Japanese fantasy film WOOL 100%
Mai Tominaga's feature film debut WOOL 100% will have its U.S. Theatrical Premiere on September 12-18 at New York's Pioneer Theater. The film recently won the Prix Sequences Award at the Fantasia Film Festival and was a Sundance NHK Winner.

Mai Tominaga’s award-winning fantasy feature WOOL 100% combines live action, animation and puppetry to explore the darkest reaches of human nature. Two old ladies who spend their days scavenging the local trashpiles one day find a mysterious little girl in their home, knitting a red sweater which will promptly be unraveled the moment its done and knitted again - and again. She does far more than simply upend the comfortable routine of the elderly sisters. Her mere presence allows the old girls to reconsider the way of living they’ve chosen, and bring out into the light memories long under lock and key. The doors to the past will be thrown open, to reveal the secrets that still live there.

WOOL 100% is distributed in North America by Cinema Epoch, which acquired distribution rights to the film from The Klockworx Company.
